About Me
I have always been curious about the world we live in, taking a large interest in science, astronomy, and the natural world from a young age. As a teenager I bought my first camera and a telescope, and also set off on my first large expedition to Vietnam and Cambodia. Growing up in London, I was rarely afforded the opportunity to get out into nature and explore, so I cherished every chance I got. My favourite way to see the world is on foot, and I regularly take my tent and go on long distance hikes, which allow me to immerse myself in my surroundings for days or weeks at a time, and to reach areas that are unattainable by other means.
Landscape photography, to me, is just as much about the journey as it is about the destination. Long and arduous days of hiking, late nights, early mornings, and of course plenty of horrendous weather. But this is all worth it, whether the pay-off is a pretty picture, a night under the stars, or simply a calming day spent amongst nature. With my camera, I see the world in a different light, as I find myself paying attention to the finer details, spotting features of landscapes I never previously would have thought to look for.
These are the experiences that drive me to pursue this hobby, that ignited my passion for photography and the exploration of the outdoors.
